Corporate Volunteers Drive Forest Conservation
On May 31, 2025, Nature Forever Society partnered with Cornerstone to organize a major forest cleanup at Navapada Ground in Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), Mumbai. This dedicated initiative aimed to protect the environment and preserve our natural heritage by removing harmful waste from the forest floor.
Objectives: Detoxifying Forests and Safeguarding Wildlife
The cleanup drive targeted plastics, glass, and other non-biodegradable pollutants, with the goal of detoxifying the forested area and creating a pollution-free habitat. This effort helps ensure the safety and well-being of local wildlife and supports the rich biodiversity of SGNP.

Volunteer Impact: Waste Removal and Ecosystem Protection
A dedicated group of 17 volunteers from Cornerstone participated in the cleanup, successfully removing 9 large bags of waste. The collected debris, primarily small plastic items and foreign materials, was disrupting the forest ecosystem and threatening the health of flora and fauna.
Pre-Monsoon Cleanups: Preventing Pollution Spread
This event is a crucial step in Nature Forever Society’s broader mission to conduct pre-monsoon cleanups across forested regions. By removing waste before the rainy season, the initiative prevents pollutants from being carried deeper into the ecosystem, reducing risks to wildlife and plant life.
The Forest Cleanup Campaign is vital in protecting wildlife by eliminating pollutants that pose a serious threat to their habitat,” said a representative from Nature Forever Society. “It is encouraging to see corporate teams like Cornerstone stepping up and demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability.
Gratitude & Future Forest Conservation Plans
Nature Forever Society extends sincere gratitude to the Cornerstone team for their wholehearted participation and dedication. Their involvement highlights the growing commitment among corporates to sustainable and eco-conscious practices.
Looking ahead, the initiative will continue to engage more organizations and volunteers in regular cleanup activities, fostering a community-driven approach to forest conservation. Together, we can work toward a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet for all.
