Nature Forever Society, in collaboration with the Burhani Foundation (India), launched Project Save Our Sparrow (SOS), which resulted in the distribution of 52,000 free bird feeders all over the world to help save house sparrow and other common bird species. The project was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2011 for the highest number of bird feeders distributed on a single day.
Save Our Sparrow (SOS) is an annual event that takes place on the 20th of March. It is a project of the Nature Forever Society, and in less than 4 years, it has grown to be celebrated in over 40 countries around the world, and is becoming increasingly popular in Europe and some parts of South Asia.
